The only ground that still matters
"Some added AI" is now free. Running without the cloud is not.
Microsoft now includes Copilot Chat in Microsoft 365 Business licences. Google includes Gemini in Workspace Standard. Slack includes Slack AI. Adding "some AI" to a small company is no longer something anyone charges for.
Bundled AI is the norm
Office suites folded their assistant into the price. Telling an owner "we do AI too" no longer says anything at all.
Their model assumes transit
Those assistants work because your documents and conversations travel to the vendor. That is the condition of the service, not a setting you can turn off.
KiffOS Enterprise: nothing goes to an AI vendor
The model runs on the owner's machine. No AI account, no intermediate inference server, no transit of your data to a vendor. The computer can be offline and it still works.
The question is no longer "do you have AI?" but "where does my data run when I use it?"
