Privacy Policy

How KiffOS and kiffos.fr handle your data — by design, the strict minimum.

This English text is a courtesy translation. The French version is the legally binding reference.

Principle: data sovereignty

KiffOS is designed to work without cloud and without an account. The AI, voice and documents run locally on your Mac: your content, your files and your conversations stay on your device and are never transmitted to the Publisher. The application includes no telemetry or tracking.

Data controller

Data processed (website / purchase only)

  • Purchase: email, billing and payment data, processed by Stripe at the time of order.
  • License: your email address, to send you your license key.
  • Website: technical connection data (hosting logs) needed for security.
  • No application usage data is collected.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Performance of the contract: process the order and deliver the license.
  • Legal obligations: invoicing and accounting.
  • Legitimate interest: website security.

Retention

Purchase and billing data are kept for as long as required by legal obligations (in particular accounting). Technical logs are kept for a short period.

Processors

  • Stripe — online payment.
  • Google / Firebase — hosting of the kiffos.fr website.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — website audience measurement, only after your consent.
  • The Publisher's email service (kiffos.fr) — sending the license key.

These providers act under GDPR-compliant agreements.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability provided by the GDPR. To exercise them: contact@kiffos.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).

Cookies and audience measurement

The kiffos.fr website only sets cookies that are strictly necessary to operate and, with your consent, Google Analytics (GA4) audience-measurement cookies handled with Consent Mode v2: no measurement cookie is set until you click « Accept » in the cookie banner. Measurement is anonymised (truncated IP, Google advertising signals disabled). No advertising tracking cookies are used.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the kiffos-cookie-consent-v1 key from your browser's local storage: the banner will reappear and you can reject audience measurement.
